Lauhala Woven Hoops

$140.00

Our classic Lauhala Hoop is a a labor of love, and isn't made too many times a year, and we haven't had this online for over a year!. "Lau" meaning "leaf" in the Hawaiian language refers to the leaves of the Hala tree which in Hawaii (and many Pacific cultures) are woven to create useful items such as baskets, mats and hats. Our family did a Lauhala collection of sterling silver jewelry in the 1980's and 1990's, and I have decided to update and create a new version of Lauhala jewelry for Tidepool Love  in 2024!  Made of solid sterling silver then heavily dipped in 2.5 microns of 14k gold, the Lauhala hoop is 7/8". Posts and backings are made of 14k goldfill.
